It’s weirdly easy to forget about music when you’re immersed in it all the time – when you start thinking primarily about logistics and details and administrative stuff, the sheer volume of songs and albums being released and performed all around you every day almost becomes like white noise. It’s unfortunate, because most of us get into this line of work because of how much we love music!

When I sat down and started putting this list together, it was pretty cool to see all of the killer albums, EPs, and singles that were released by my friends (and/or worked on by my friends, behind-the-scenes) this year. How lucky am I that I get to spend my days working to get this music out in the world? How many people actually walk away from their work at the end of the day with something tangible they can enjoy personally, too?

So – without further ado and with thanks to Emma Jane for the idea (and the format), here’s a list of all the music released (and/or worked on) by my pals this year. (DID I MISS YOU/YOUR MUSIC? Please let me know!) I’ve also created a Spotify playlist – it’s about 16 hours long so I’d recommend putting it on shuffle and listening to it while you go about your day….
